Earlier this year the Health Department discovered the clinic was reusing some equipment used during a cystoscopy putting patients at risk for diseases like hepatitis and HIV. Even after the test results were released the clinic maintains there is no physical evidence they're responsible. “So while it's true that there are 16 positive cases that were revealed as part of this blood testing program we do not believe any of those patients actually contracted their disease at our clinic as a result of our cystoscopy procedure” say Siouxland Urology Spokesperson Amy Rotenbeerg Meanwhile fve former patients have filed a class-action lawsuit against the clinic and its owners. Siouxland Urology has until September 14th to file its response to the suit.
